Born in Rome, November 19, 1974, daughter of actors Vittorio Mezzogiornoand Cecilia Sacchi .
She worked in Paris for two years at the Peter Brook Workshop (Le Centre International de Créations Théatrales).
In 1997 she made her film debut in Viaggio della sposa, Il (1997) (The Bride’s Journey) written and starring by Sergio Rubini (she was awarded the Targa d’Argento (Silver Plate) as the New Talent in Italian Cinema, she was also awarded with the Grolle d’Oro and the Golden Globe by the Foreign Press Association as well as the Premio Flaiano as Best Actress for 1997 – 1998).
In 1998 she starred in the film Del perduto amore (1998) directed by Michele Placido, with Fabrizio Bentivoglio and Sergio Rubini (For her performance she was awarded the Nastro d’Argento (Silver Ribbon), the Ciak d’Oro (Golden Slate) and Premio Pasinetti for Best Actress in a starring role).
She was Stefano Accorsi‘s girlfriend until 2001.
